Sydney’s Luna Park fined for New Year’s Eve COVID-19 breach

Sydney’s Luna Park rang in the new year by allowing a large crowd of people to mingle shoulder-to-shoulder in breach of coronavirus restrictions, police said.

The iconic amusement park was slapped with a $5000 fine for breaching a public health order on Wednesday.

A park spokesperson said it would pay the fine, although they disputed the party was in breach of regulations.
